About me

I live on one acre in rural Nw Ohio. I raise market hogs, exibition bantams, laying hens, broilers, and call ducks.

I would like to take up beekeeping some day, but right now i dont have the money. I would also like to have another coop and more land, but only in my dreams. I cant wait until summer so i can hang up my hammock and take a nap under a tree. I am sick of the freezing temps and snow! Where is spring?

A day of work

I started this morning by going to the feed store to get a bale of straw. I came home and cleaned the duck cages and moved the breeders around. I then spent quite some time grinding corn in my old fashoned hand crank grinder. Fed all the ducks and chickens. Cleand the nest boxes and added more hay, added shavings the the coop. Brought in wood pellets for the stove. Here i was on BYC and i see a blog contest! Well, here is my blog, and i think it is going to be some fun!
